DID YOU KNOW THAT SAND CAN CREATE ART TOO?????
On the summer when the weather gets so hot we go to the beach and see many kids and grown up people too that somehow they try to create art with sand. You see kids trying to build castles and pretending like they are the king of that castle. When you walk promenade you also see so many different message that are written by different people to show their feeling for someone special or for something special. You see messages like "I Love You", "Marry Me" and so many different ones.
But!!!
Many artists use only their fingers and draw with sand on a glass table or streets.
CONFUSED!!!!

As you can see sand for this artists is like a paint brush when you paint, it's like a pencil when you draw, it is like a camera when you take photos. As the famous artist Edgar Degas said "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."

It is true that in creating an art you can show what you feel, what bothers you, or anything else but the most important thing is what that art shows to the people, what other people's reaction to that art is. When you create an art and you show to the people, everyone is going to have different comments about your art, so it is very important for an artist to do their art, so when people see it they can be like "WOW", so they don't have any words to describe it.

This is really amazing, being that there are many kinds of art, and to think "sand" is part of it- woah. Art, though, is definetely part of what you make others see, it is how art and artists get recognzed; which is part of what we discussed in our class.

ReplyDeleteThis is really amazing I didn't know people used sand as a form of art. This just shows the many things u can use to create art.I really liked the forth video it's so cool how he changed the picture several times. It looks so simple but it must take time and it amazing how people do it. It really great and this just makes me think of new ideas or things I can use to create art.
ReplyDeleteI agree with them all. It is amazing how there are so many creative people out their with many talents. I love the pictures you put up. I also absolutely love the quote by Edgar Degas said "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see" because it's true art changes people and makes them see more than just what's on the surface. Art is meaningful and symbolic.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of sand as a medium of art but these pictures and video say a lot. Art truly is about what the artist thinks, feels and believes. come to think of, before humanities, I always though that the only tru form of art was painting or drawing, but now i see that art is truly the person bringing out their emotions rather than pencil on paper or dance or music.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the previous comments. It's true, I never really though of sand as a form of art but it truly is. These artists are using such a delicate technique and transforming something as simple as sand into something unforgettable and magnificently beautiful.
